Question Will a 18x9.50-8 tire fit? (Have a 18x8.50-8)

I believe it would be an inch wider...?
Anyone know if this will fit on my 1996 gas Ez Go TXT?
Current tire size is 18x8.50-8.

The tire is 1/2" wider on the inside and outside. You can check the clearance if your stock tires are mounted now.

It is likely those tires will fit but you should do a little checking with springs, spindles, etc.

Yeah 1/2" on inside and 1/2" on the outside.
Well I just checked and the outer tie rods and/or boot may rub

yes that is what I have on my cart! the one thing to be aware of is if you turn real sharp it will hit just a little but I love the traction. Also they will make noise if you are riding on the road.

This is a sponsor. https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/r...lf-cart-tires/

The Kenda Scorpion was available in 18x8.5-8 a while ago. Maybe somebody still has them in stock.

These are at Walmart. Carlisle Fairway Pro 18X8.50-8 B Tire _____ It's the old school basic knobby.

Standard wheel offset is 3.5/3.5. If you got wheels with a 4/3 or 5/2 offset the wider tires would work. The stock size 8" diameter wheels are available with different offsets and aren't too expensive if you buy them with tires in a package deal. Cheaper than using alum wheel spacers.

Sounds like a good time to go all out and get some fancy wheels to go along with new tires, I had the bigger knobby tires on my original stamped steel rims years ago. I had to make spacers out of 1/2" material to clear, But then they'd still contact the fender occasionally when turning and hitting a bump at the same time. Very very annoying and hard on the wrists when it jerked the steering wheel out of my hands......

I eventually went with 12" super cool chrome SS wheels with low profile tires, I forget the width and offset right now but can go look if need be. They don't rub during any conditions and look pretty snazzy too. Of course it's all in what you want or need for the type of running you'll be doing....Good Luck
