We tried prying it with a large pry bar to see what it would do and it wouldn't move any further than that 1/4".

StoveBolt told you in post 57 that your drive clutch was not working correct. Why did you ignore him yet listen to your mechanic friend ? Just asking.
All of us here who try and help have to ask questions. Sometimes they might seem elementary but they are not meant to be. I wish you well with this ezgo. Good day.

I didn't ignore him I thought he was talking about the driven clutch, not the front clutch.

This is what he said.

The video of you driving does sound like it's running on one cylinder, also the drive clutch isn't closing,
(could be of low rpm though) How do the plugs look as far as color?

This got my head stuck on rpms and only firing on one cylinder. My friend drove it with the seat off and pointed it out then showed me what it wasn't doing properly, being able to see it helped me understand because I kept looking at the back clutch.

Now the question is can you rebuild it like you can a Yamaha clutch?

This is my clutch. I took it a part and temporarily fixed it but for how long I dont know. The cover you put on last has a bushing in it and it split along with the housing it sits in. Any idea where I can get just a cover for it from?

Yes
The neck has a crack in it and the bushing inside the neck has a crack in it.

I fixed everything I can fix I think. My cart was running but I had to pull the choke a little to keep it running. I had a bad exhaust leak so I finally got that fixed too. All of a sudden it wouldn't start again all it did was backfire. I pulled the air box apart and flames were coming out of the carb. I cleaned my plugs and shot starting fluid in it then all of a sudden it started running real good. I put it back together and drove down the road 1 minute tops then it acted like it lost all spark and died. I do t know what else to do, I'm so confused at this point.

I must have pissed everyone off, I've gotten no responses to my questions. Well I'll talk to myself iguess.
Runs great if chock is out, got exhaust to seal.

I read the entire thread to catch up.

You have a new engine, and fixed a sticking clutch.
Those plugs are carbon fouled from running rich. That is from using so much choke.

I only use choke to get the fuel moving. I would check all of the fuel lines for leaks, and cracks. Leaks could cause the pump to suck air.

And even though it's a new engine, and you said the valve lash is good, this fat girl still thinks you should check them again. A locking nut could have very easily loosened on a new engine.
