I saw a post regarding changing Rear End Oil . Does anyone have any input on this subject? I saw that it uses SAE30 oil, does anyone put in anything different?

For the 2 cycles, you should use 80W90 gear oil.... Dose are some big-ol gears back dare... Use 80W90 especially if you have the 6.88:1 gears
For the 4 cycles.... as long as whatever oil you use is 30wt. You can use 80W, but it boggs down the rear end so much that the car acts like the engine is low on power Synthetics are fine... just more expensive and "most" work extremely well. I say most because Jastrol isn't as good as Castrol Bob |

Changed rear end oil in my 05 txt gas today, remove drain plug and filler plug, replace drain plug after draining,re-fill with 30 wt. until oil runs out of filler hole, about 1 1/2 qt. replace filler plug. THEN GET GOING GENO1066
