1986 EzGo Gas Runs But Won't Drive

I had recently purchased a 86 gas ezgo cart, I believe its a marathon but I cant confirm it. I had replaced the spark plugs, Fuel, and oil and the cart fired right up. All though when I give it throttle nothing happens. The engine can idle and throttle up but still wont drive. Upon inspecting the belts both belts are in decent running condition. One belt spins constantly as the other only spins when I manually spin a tire. After spinning the tire the tire freely spins for around 3 seconds then comes to a stop. I cant figure out why the cart wont drive it self. The transmissions gears all where in good condition and i have replaced the gear oil and found no metal in the oil. If you can help me I would Appreciate it thanks.

‘86 is definitely a Marathon. When the cart throttles up, does the drive clutch (connected to the motor) grab the belt and spin it? Or is the belt not spinning at all when you give it gas? It’d be good to get it up on stands and run it, watching the operation of the clutches. One or both may not be operating correctly.

You mention changing spark plugs as if there were more than one. You also changed the oil, and checked the transmission gears.
That's NOT an 86. Nor is it a Marathon.

Ill get some pictures for you tomorrow but i did replace the one plug towards the muffler. Also the belt closest to the motor does spin constantly as the one further back right next to the transmission only spins when i spin the tire. The engine is a two stroke but its oil injected as for why it has a separate oil reservoir from the gas. I only know this cause my Atv has the same system and the model number ends with a 86 so Im pretty sure its a 86

Ok. That makes much more sense. The constantly spinning belt is for the starter/generator. The big belt is the drive belt. It should spin when the drive clutch squeezes it. It sounds like your drive clutch is not working.
