Txt solenoid wiring
Have what is supposed to be a 2003 TXT gas cart.
Need a wiring diagram for the solenoid connections. Have a green wire (that comes from the key switch) and broke under the solenoid cover. Not sure where it connects. Also found a loose orange wire under the cover as well. Thanks in advance! Also are there any fuses other than the one inline coming from the solenoid (red wire)?? I do not have a fuse block on the rear fender well. |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
Here is a picture of the green wire in question and I'm holding the connector that was on it. It has a spade type end plugged into it. Does it connect to a solenoid spade?
Also pictured is the orange wire in question. Is that the voltage regulator under the solenoid it is coming from? Thanks! |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
That orange with white stripe comes from your ignitor and goes to small terminal on solenoid . There should be a male spade bolted on the small terminal so you can just plug it on. Sometimes you have to take some pliers and close the terminal that plugs in solenoid because they do come off on occasion.
There is only one 7.5 amp fuse located under the plastic cover on hot side of solenoid. They were terrible to break right at connection on these carts. I used to keep a fuse holder in my pocket I had so many break when I did work on these things for a living. Here is the diagram you need. You will see the green wire. It is connected to one side of your ignition switch. |

Thanks Trig!
Yes, the green goes to and is still connected to the ignition switch. From the diagram it looks like the other end (broken end) ties into the (red) wire with the inline fuse correct? |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
Long story short I can't tell or see where broken end of the green wire was connected?

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
Thanks so much I really appreciate. Just want to be sure.
I thought for sure when I found the broken wire end with the male and female connector that I would find another loose wire that it went to. No such luck. |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
The wire you have that is broke connects to a male terminal in the harness right next to where you took the picture. It comes micro switch under floor mat.
The fuse comes from the hot side of solenoid and goes to the same micro switch under the mat. That's why it is fused as it has 12 volts that going to that micro switch all the time. It leaves the switch and goes back across cart . It supplies 12 volts to the reverse buzzer and The wire coming from under your cart is dark green. That's the one that is broke. It is coming from the ignition switch. Look good and you will see where it plugs in. Might be hid in the harness but its there. It is light green. |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
Found the other green in the harness. Now to wait for a new solenoid.
Thanks Trig! |

Re: Txt solenoid wiring
Just to update. Repaired the green wires referenced above (as well as replacing the inline fused wire that was aged) and installed new solenoid and we are back up and running. Thanks again Trig!
