2016 TXT starving out for fuel
My golf cart is driving me crazy. It keeps running out of fuel. I've replaced all the lines, the pump and the filter. It runs for maybe a 1/4 mile then stalls. When I look, the system is dry. I've primed it by mouth to get it started again with fuel in the filter then connect back to the pump. It will run again. I noticed I had gunk in my prior filter so I drained out most of the old gas and put new gas and some sea foam cleaner in.
Unless someone knows the problem, I'm still troubleshooting and I did notice the gas does not flow easy through the first line (suction by mouth on priming the supply line with filter). The filter is not clogged, I want to open the tank and check the stem/primer tube or whatever dips down into the tank. A filter or screen or clog there could be my issue. I don't know how you remove the black cap assembly on top of the fuel tank. Don't want to damage it. Anybody know what is exactly inside the tank on the inlet tube? Bill |

First, check all of your lines to make sure theres no cracks or holes. Especially on the pulse line going between the motor and the fuel pump. And make sure it's not clogged. Check the line between the tank and the pumk too to make sure jts not sucking air.

Re: 2016 TXT starving out for fuel
I replaced all the lines except the vacuume one which I wasn't able to get to. I did test the vacuume by feel and it was pretty strong... but I'm going to replace it anyhow today. Still there is a resistance to the gas line primer tube side, to put it in a way to understand, the pressure isn't like a straw in a softdrink, but more like a straw in a thick milkshake. Does the primer tube (the inlet in the tank) have any kind of filter or screen on it? Mine has a black cap that the primer line and the fill sensor connect through, Does that come off?
