RXV or TXT - All new to me!
Hi all,
Just moved to a golf course and want to get a nice cart - figure I'll play around with accessories, but I'm really stumped on what cart to begin with!!! I'm not real sold on the Electric - replacing batteries, making sure the kids remember to plug it in, and filling with water, etc. So I'm thinking a gas model. But here's where I get into the weeds... WHAT are the differences between the models? I've been looking at a used TXT Gas, it's a few years old (2011), and I don't believe it's the Freedom. I want to make sure it won't be a dog out there!!! I don't want to go 25mph, but I do want to hit that 18-20mph range. I see that the newer models will do that, but some of the older TXT's wind up at like 13mph. I don't want that! So, any easy, helpful hints will be GREATLY appreciated! What model to look for, etc. I want something that will hit our speed, have lights, and (preferrably) USB ports for charging my peripherals. Thanks, in advance! |

Re: RXV or TXT - All new to me!
The older txt will do 18-20mph just fine.
I wouldnt necessarily recommend going out after a specific model based on your needs criteria. Any cart can have lights, do 18-20mph, and add usb charger for very little money. Anything ezgo, yamaha, or club car would suit you just fine. I would seek cart condition, mainly motor, clutches, etc. What kind of a budget are you looking for? Do you plan on servicing it and working on it yourself? If not, what kind of dealers are near you available for service? For example near me there are 2 ezgo dealers but no club car or yamaha within an hour and a half... And welcome to BGW :) |

Re: RXV or TXT - All new to me!
Thanks, CP!
We're looking to be in that $4k-6k range. Found a new '18 TXT for a little more than that, but it includes warranty, so... As for servicing it, I'd rather not do it myself. Whoever said that "if you want it done right, do it yourself" obviously didn't know me! Our town has some dealers that work on multiple lines, but no sales. So I'm travelling to get it. THANKS! MB |
