How fast do you want it to go?
The bigger engine (350cc) models have lots of power and can be made to put out around 16hp with very little effort. However, they still will only run around 25mph with 22" tires, unless you change the gears cause of the rev limiter. A briggs with a rev kit should put you around 40mph depending on tire size

It will cost less to rebuild a 350 and put a 295 head on it, than put a big block in it. But if you ever wanted a big block cart you can't ask for a better platform, lots of room in there unless its one of those 800-g models.
Ever see vids of Walkntall's Workhorse with the 30 something hp liquid cooled briggs and long travel frontend That would move some of those flower beds quickly and give you more time to bound through the woods and feilds

Where are you located? And what do you want for one of those blown engine specials? Although I have absolutely no place to put it or time to work on it, I might be interested in another project.
