Works fine!!

Only thing I don't know is to use straight copper or resistor wire?

If you notice in the comments, he only changed the coil. He used the original ignitor. Not many people have made the true conversion work.

I dont know of anybody that has made the conversion work. He is using the stock ignitor and just swapped the coil.

But generally, a coil is a coil. It takes power and a ground pulse and converts that to a spark. As long as it makes a spark thats its only purpose. The magic all happens in the ignitor on these. If your ignitor is good, you're set go ahead. I just put my 2007 back together but the MCI coil was cut up. Didnt want to spent a bunch of money on a coil.for a motor that may not work but I had a spare pre-MCI coil laying around. It works perfectly fine and runs great! I just cant mount it becauae the wires are too short, so for now a zip tie works.

May have to try this GM coil just for fun though. If it works then great! If not I had planned in buying the right coil anyway.

If your ignitor is shot I do have a couple extras
