Starter/gen not charging

Good morning everyone. My '92 3pg has decided again not to charge the battery. It did this about six years ago and the fix was the Voltage Regulator. I was thinking it would be the same thing this time but no, after replacement of the VR I am still not charging.

The battery is at 12.5 volts as it sits. Under a load (starting the cart) it drops to 11.5 and while its running it is 12v on the noggin.

I am looking for any suggestions to what I may possibly check to fix this problem. I'm going to pull the start/gen off and toss some new brushes in it but I don't think that's the problem. I would think that it wouldn't start if it was but I have the brushes and it's not that big of a deal to change them when the weather isn't so craptastic here. No inside garage, sorry about my luck.

Regardless if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. I may go out today and clean up the terminals on the F/R switch to see if that does anything.

Right, I'm in the process of that. I cleaned all the lugs inside the F/R switch and terminals outside the switch yesterday. I thought I read somewhere that could be an issue, maybe it was from another thread of mine I remembered that. Anyway that didn't make a difference.

How do I check it right from the S/G itself? I read that too sometime ago but can't find the thread to it. I was thinking it was the F1 terminal and something else but I don't know what that is. If you can tell me how to check it from there I'd appreciate it.
