stereo mounting
here I go again, Man I am hooked on this cart, it way better than drugs.....
I am getting ready to do a stereo install on my 1990 marathon and would like some input on the on the overhead stereo console vs. in dash. my marathon has a place in the dash for one, but I would have to move a bracket mount to get the stereo in. I am in the process of building a speaker box that will fit in between the top mount on the back to hold 2 Punch 6x9's( i will get yall pics soon, i know how bad yall would rather see pics than descriptions) but trust me it will be badass. I found the console on everything carts but I dont need the 6" speakers. basically I am wondering how the overhead console mounts and do the shake and vibrate? |

Re: stereo mounting
Im already building the speaker box for the 6x9's that will mount in between the rear roof mounts, i think that I will build a box to mount the stereo on the roof like yours just without the speakers, thanks dadster

Re: stereo mounting
Im looking at just adding the amp and speakers and going mini in to RCA to the amp and use the mp3 player controls, and eliminate the need for the head unit all together..

Re: stereo mounting
I had a EZ go with the roof mount radio console, the only thing i didnt like was that the added weight made the roof shake and rattle BAD when on anything other than smooth terain, other than that it worked nice.
