Built Ezgo to loud
I just sold a stretched Ezgo Workhorse with a 350cc motor with a 295 cyl. head and cam etc. This cart will be used in a golf cart community. My customer says it is to loud. It has a K&n type air cleaner and a strait pipe with a small muffler. What quiet muffler can I use other than the stock muffler that will not restrict to much flow. Thanks, Ted

I will be watching this one ...... I need a quiet exhaust on my V-twin also.
Congrats on the sale! I didn't think carts were allowed to leave your shop |

Re: Built Ezgo to loud
did you try the stock ezgo muffler, i have tried a low restriction muffler on my 16 twin as well as the ezgo muffler and i found very little difference.

Re: Built Ezgo to loud
ScottyB, You are a funny man! lol! The customer came today. He is paying a good sum of money and yes a cart is leaving the shop and I am not giving it away like the last one. The bodies are off and are at the paint shop.
What time is Brock picking up his cart at www.wheelsca.com ? ( the disc brake shop) You know the muffler I have! It is off Brock's motor! With over 11,000 posts you should have an answer for me.lol Ted |

Steve, Are they like the restrictor plates I see on ebay? If so won't something like a restrictor plate hurt performance? Thanks

Re: Built Ezgo to loud
They would only restrict if you use to small of a trap with too few discs. I have used them on a couple of carts and they worked great. White Bros. has a universal alum. muffler with the trapp on the end. denniskirk.com sells them.

Re: Built Ezgo to loud
Thanks, Pizza Maker and Dirthsouth. I will try the stock one. I can't tell you how many stock mufflers I have thrown in the scrap pile. I guess my buddy BHFEAR probably has one. Maybe ScottyB or Brock can bring one when they pick up there cart at www.wheelsca.com Thanks again, Ted
