1990 ez go gas cart Wont start in Neutral??
My 1990 ez go wont start in neutral but will in forward or reverse. Any ideas why? Also can't find a way to adjust the govenor on this model throttle kicks back after going down hill then slowly accelerates up the hill slowly picking up speed. I figured it has to be the govenor but am new to these carts. sorry about the repost but i had the wrong year b4 my dad wasnt sure if its was a 86 or newer the number is 588537 and he said there is another number thats. 12/90 i thought that must be the model year.

I think the reason is because the shifter is not lined up with the appropriate contacts. If they are not aligned then current can't flow and the starter will not turn. At least I think lol

Well im not sure what year it is but it looks just like the 90s model and there is a neutral on this one but wont idle just dies

BTW no cart will idle in the sense of the word. They start when you press the accelerator pedal and stop when you let off. On the newer ones there is a kit that hooks into the ignition and supposedly lets them idle but they were not designed that way.

Also wanted to know if there was any kits to make the gas powered ones 4x4 I saw electric ones but not gas
