Default '79 EZGO complete rebuild

HI Ya'all Don't know if you caught my voltage thread, but figured out my starter/generator problem. A Bad crank bearing!!! Doesn't it figure!!! Armature was making very slight contact due to bad bearing, and shorting out whole system. Got engine out, top end off and I'm trying to seperate crank case. Does anyone know if and how, the windings come off the crank shaft? Rear bearing seems to be preventing me from seperation. Not sure what to do!

I think you need a puller to get that off.

I've got a puller, but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be pulled. I don't want to damage it, NLA I believe. Were you refering to the windings in pic #1, or the rear bearing in pic#3? In pic #2 you can see how far I got the case to seperate. I know what needs to be pulled!!!! Which side should I be concentating on? I haven't removed fuel pump, but I don't think that is an issue??

I don't know how it comes off but you probably need to find out. even the pullers for things on that engine are NLA. maybe someone will come along that knows about it.

Sorry I took so long getting back to you! I haven't been able to get all the parts I need to assemble engine, cart is on the back burner right now. This website, and google searching are probably your best bet for parts and info. Hope this helps!!!
