Can you replace the buttons on a clutch? Mine are over half wore out.

Re: 1986 ezgo gas
How do you get them off? I saw a pic that says they are held on with a screw but I don't see any screws on my 86 marathon. Do you have to pull the clutch?

Re: 1986 ezgo gas
From the '85 manual I have it says,
"To remove the ramp buttons, grasp the button with pliers and pull out with a twisting motion. If the button is broken away, use a small drill and carefully drill into the part remaining in the ramp. Using a pick or small screwdriver, extract the button shank. Install a new button and tap carefully with a mallet or hammer to seat. Be sure that the button head is seated within the recess in the ramp casting." Sounds easy. Good luck! |

Re: 1986 ezgo gas
Thanks for the help, but now it won't fire at all just keeps turning over. I put in a new plug and nothing. Is there a way to adjust the set screw on the carb from scratch( I mean by screwing it in all the way and then how many turns out to get adjustment close)
