| EZ-GO-N | Hey guys I do not have a lot of experience with high speed gear in carts, have done just about everything else but that, I have a gas cart with a 23hp vanguard, and 25" tires, Would a 6:1 gear set get me going a little faster, but how much low end torque will I lose all the info you guys have on gears would be great, thanks |

| I agree, you should have plenty of power, I just can't see the low end power being hurt much with that change. If you have a 28deg clutch I doubt you'll notice much change. It's been awhile since I had figured all that out but you should gain around 7-8 mph with the 6:1's. I think it's about 5-6mph with the 8:1's. you can get 10:1 gears from ezgo but that little difference in top end doesn't really justify the cost involved |

| I put the 6:1 in a 23hp vanny, and I was clocked @ 43mph... dunno if that helps! I was also running 23" tires. |

| The 36 deg clutch should be faster off the line than the 28. It goes through the gearing faster, so if you've got the power to push it, it'll be faster. |
