Default Identify this broken part..

I have only owned my '06 txt gaser for about a month now. I noticed at higher speeds it would like to swerve to the left or right. Didnt think much of it, figured maybe thats just how a golf cart rides. I recently put a lift kit and bigger wheels and tires and can really notice it now. I started looking today and seems like I have alot of play/movement in the steering linkage(what ever its called) so I pulled off the rubber boot down there by the steering linkages to have a look. This is what I found..

Something is broke but do not know what it is. Im hoping this is the reason for the swerving at higher speeds?

Well I got it all tore out of cart. Looks like its whats left of a bushing that keeps the slop out of the rack?? It slides right off..Im guessing here but I hope its that simple. I guess worse case is that was part of the housing.

I will try to search for steering parts and see what I can figure out.

Cool you found the number, Try a blow up diagram to see if there was a seal as well. GOOD LUCK.

We have busted several of those housings. The new EZ GO housing comes with the bearig/seal installed and you use the rest of your internal parts.
Let me verify that. I'll get back with you. Tony

nothing seems broken on the housing, just that spacer deal has came out allowing alot of slop with the steering rack inside the housing.

If you look at that link I posted, the number on my part is 2515DP4. Looks like a 25$ part. I will see about ordering. Site says great Britian.

double check this part number, but it should be what you need with the bushing and seal, #70965G01 2001-1/2 to 09. you can find them on the net for 70.00/free shipping
