Default E 29 rear end welding spider gears 4 posi

Who has welded there EZGO E29 rear spider gears to get Posi and who has done this to an EZGO and had them fail?

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not interested in whether its right or wrong, I don't care about turning and I don't care about if it was done to a drag car .I just want to know if anyone has done this to a 94 up EZGO and had them fail or if they are running there ezgo cart with welded spider gears.
thanks all

I have never seen one fail when welded properly.

And I totally agree with the second part of your post. I will see to it the topic stays on track.

its pretty straight forward. just weld the the smaller gears inside the carrier to themselves being careful not to weld the carrier itself of any bearing surfaces. I then just let the assembly cool by itself, no water on it.

while i had mine apart i removed the governor assembly also. Now this thing will will rip up some dirt lol. waiting on some tighter clutch springs to move the engagement rpms to about 2500 of the driven clutch

Pictures would be awesome. Can this be done on all rear ends?
