EZ-GO Rear leaf spring problem
Hello to everyone in the forum. I just got my first Cart and am getting slightly addicted to looking for things to do to it. Now my question is, I was told and truly believe this is a 1994 Medalist. My problem is. I bought this cart just recently and the rear springs were sagging and the shackle was layed out to the back like in picture. So I figure not a problem it just seems to have to long of a leaf on it. So I order new heavy duty Medalist springs and put them on and then it is doing it again. So I contact who sold me the springs and he says I must have a Marathon so I will send you out those springs, which they did promptly. So I try to install them and there is no way that both springs will go on. The center pin will not line up or even come close on the mounting plate. The distance between my hangers is 25" . Does anyone have a solution? Thank You

That cart is a medalist. TXT springs should bolt right up.

Re: EZ-GO Rear leaf spring problem
The Medalist/TXT springs are 27" eye to eye. They do bolt right up but the shackle lays out like in picture. Nothing is bent or anything. The only thing left I think is new shocks which should not make a difference. OR maybe the shackles are to short. Thank you for the reply.

Don't have an ez go here at the house. Ya got me hooked now. I'll measure the spring in the morning when I get to the shop. If ya don't mind, pm me, so I don't forget. Mondays tend ta be a little nasty...

Re: EZ-GO Rear leaf spring problem
27" is right on the TXT springs. I measure 26 1/2" between the hangers on a TXT. You said yours is 25", that would explain why the shackles are flat. I'm thinkin' either the rear frame is bent or the rear hangers have been re welded forward of the OE position.
