1987 EZ GO Marathon
This is my first post and first golf cart please bare with me. We bought this cart completly torn apart. I am using a manual for a 1989. Was told should be the same. We are currently going through the wiring. I am 90% sure it is wired correct. My question is, if it is all wired correctly and the starter generator is hooked up will it spin when I push the gas pedal? The motor is not in the cart yet. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Tanks miferrel!!
sccowboy- darn lol it wont spin. I have a new solenoid on the way. Could that be the problem? We know the F&R switch is good as well as the micro switched behine it. Have not checked the microswitch on the accelerator. Ignition switch is good as well. |

Re: 1987 EZ GO Marathon
We bought it that way. Previous owner was going to rebuild it. He tore it apart but that was as far as he got when he bought a Cushman and decided he didnt need it. We have rebuilt the motor but thought it easier to go thru the wiring first and then get to the motor section.

Re: 1987 EZ GO Marathon
Sounds like you are ready to put the motor in and see how it runs
