Default My 97 Ez-go limo cart

For some reason people around these parts like to steal the steering columns off carts. My 95 gas ezgo was missing one to. Anyway this is my 97 EZGO limo with a 350 Workhorse engine in it. I picked this cart up for $300 and had a heck of a time getting it on the trailer but its home now.

Looks like a heck of a deal to me. I have always wanted a limo cart for the campground. Are you going to be selling this one?

I dont know if I'm going to sell it or not. I would like to keep it and big block it, A-arm suspension, nice tires, rear seat kit you know the necessities. This cart would be awesome at coal creek to ride my family around on. When I saw it my eyes lit up. Only way I would sell it is if someone gave me the right price for it. With a 35hp Briggs and long travel suspension Id need at least $4800 for it. Which is CHEAP!!
I live in NW Georgia.

I got a chance to look closely at my limo tonight and all I can say is what a nightmare! I am surprised this thing is holding together at all. The cart might looks good from the outside but the frame is severely rotted. The frame that runs up along th dash is completely rotted through on the passenger side. I dont know if this cart was in a flood or what but the engine is locked up with a lot of liquid in it that isnt oil. The rear end apparently has something broke in it because no matter what gear I put it in the clutch just spins around. This cart is going to be much more of a challenge than I thought. I spent 4 hours tonight trying to move it into my shop so I could tear it down tomorrow and get some pics of the frame. That thing is a pain in the a$$ to move with no steering box and being so long. I better brush up on my welding skills!!!

A lot of work there, but also a lot of potiental. Some big ticket items will be needed for it, starting with the steering box assembly, motor, lift, what kind of front seat pod is on there? I've been looking for one of those shuttles for a long time myself.

Things arent looking good for this cart. I started working on this cart at 1 today and so far I only have the front cowl removed and both rocker panels. There hasnt been 1 bolt that I havent had to cut!!! This carts frame looks like a giant slice of swiss cheese. I'm starting to uncover the truth about this cart. Apparently it was in a salt water flood. The engine has water in it. The air box is filled with crud and the mesh on the air filter is rusted indicating salt water. Oh and how can I forget the SALTY sand under the floor mat! Take a look at these pictures. This is going to be a hell of a project but I aint given up!!

This is what a good frame looks like.

This is what my limo's frame looks like.
