Re: New Engine
If you are going through the trouble of changing the motors, go for a big one. I think that cart has 11hp stock, I would need to verify that, but all that work for 3 hp? If he has one already, I could understand. Be sure the rotation is the same and a clutch will fit the crankshaft.
If he plans to buy the motor and then fab the mounts and all, he may want to just buy a motor upgrade kit. It has the cables and mounts, exhaust already made and is basiclly a bolt on kit. Our sponsors have those in several size engines. |

Re: New Engine
No he already has the engine. Also for some reason aint a fan of the kawasaki engines. He just wanted to know if the engine was capable of being hooked up with the ezgo and what not.

Re: New Engine
Nuthin wrong with the Kawasaki engine ..... 3 hp is not worth the effort IMHO. You will have to rework the ignition, charging, throttle, air cleaner, exhaust, the clutch, belt and engine mount

Re: New Engine
are you folks aware of the kawa 16 hp carbureated likes to make oil in the crankcase. I got four of them in my greens mowers if I had any say in the choice of engines I would use it as a boat anchor.

Re: New Engine
I don't think any of us have golf carts with 16 hp greens mower engines in them. That's a crazy comparison

Re: New Engine
If ya make enough oil in there, can you bottle it up and resale it?
