2009 St 2 + 2

I have a 2009 Ez Go ST 2 + 2 with the new Kawasaki Engine. The tach i have shows it turning about 3300 rpms. The dealer turned the governer up a little bit, but how far can i really take this thing with out tearing it up? 4000 rpms?

The rev limiter is built into the coil. Mine clocks at 31 mph with a few "massages" I care not to share. (Scotty) TRhe motor is solid and have yet to see any issues with them over the past 16 months

So your saying that i can open the butterfly in the carb by hand and the rev limiter will kick in at some RPM?

IDIeselman, in your rant thread you said your governor was rattling. Well i think ive stripped something inside the gear case where the governor is becuase mine has quit working. My own fault trying to limit the governor travel. But it rattles from time to time now. You think the rattle is the wieghts on the governor? I hope it just doesn't tear anything else up inside the gear case.
