can someone tell me how the forward and reverse work on a gas car? I have a 400cc hondamatick engine and trany that I would like to mount on a golf cart but I want to be able to keep my reverse

Need to keep the carts rear end its like a trans axle

On the old 2 strokes the engine runs backward for reverse.
The 4 stroke carts use a transaxle. |

we put a 600 bike motor in a g16 yamaha last year. we tryed the stock rearend it didnt work out .the thing would do 8 mph in 6 gear

Thanks for the info sounds like the project I have in mind have to start looking for a doner atv
