Workhorse models

Can someone explain the differences in Workhorse models? I'm looking for the longer wheelbase with front brakes.

Here's what i have gathered on those. There was a marathon style workhorse. It had the 4cycle twin. There was also a diamond plate model, that is occasionally seen. Anything before that, I don't know.
EZGO has made several models (obviouisly) The smallest being the 800 model. It has the 295 robin and is basically a TXT with a bed. The bed is plastic and the wheelbase is the same as a TXT.
There is a 1200. This has a 350 robin and a steel bed with extended wheelbase. The bed tilt. The front is like the TXT.
Next they have an st 350 workhorse. It has the longer wheelbase and 350 robin. The cowl style is different and it came with off road style tires. They have a 14 hp kaw. currently.
The st 400 has a 16 hp motor and the wheelbase. It is set up as the st350, with the new cowl style lights and all. I think it has hydraulic drum brakes in front. Look up the ST 400 workhorse on the net and you'll find the details. I don't remember all of it. For some reason, I want to say it has a locker rearend, but again I'm not sure.

Here is one more. 2003 ST 350 with 350 robin, long wheelbase, steel bed, 20' tires, and the big front cowl. I think ez go called just about anything a workhorse.

Since getting into these carts, I've thought about any future projects. I have yet to see one of these listed for sale used on CL.

yep tough to find a nice clean used one, I had two and sold them like a dummy, been looking a year for another.

I'm not sure when the Workhorse name came about. I was thinking around 1996? The earlier metal / diamond plate models were known as either an EZGO "Tuff One" and a Jacobsen "Hauler". Somewhere the GTX series was also used, but don't remember when.

I just bought a 2000 ST350 with Electro/Hydro steel dump bed. Sorta an impulse buy...was looking for reasonable lifted golf cart to play around in the yard. Saw a "Workhorse" and was hooked on the utilitarian nature of them.

Anyone wanna throw out a few numbers to help me decide if I got a good deal? Its got under 600hrs...new tires and rear end among other I presume (add stated "serviced and ready to go"). Also has a roof.

Thinking i'll wanna add a locker at some point...?

A buddy of mine bought a 2003 ST350 with approx. 700 hrs,top & electric dump in almost new condition (had been used at a hydroplant by power co.) a few months back for $2800.00.Hope this helps.
