Default Workhorse engine issues...Help

Took my Workhorse out around the hunting camp this weekend. Cart ran fine for about 15 minutes. After about 1.5 miles of continuous driving, the motor began to bog down and began smoking. Had the wife an baby with, so I turned around and headed back. By the time I got back to camp, cart was smoking horribly!

Opened the seat and found oil COMPLETELY COVERING the inside (See pictures). Oil was even dripping from the seat!!Motor would still turn over, so I put in neutral and pressed gas. Oil seems to be pouring out from under the air intake hose. When I say pour, I mean POUR, but only at higher RPM. Never got the oil light.

Looking for direction. This is an 05 Workhorse, all factory parts. Only thing new are tires. Engine has about 450 hours on it. Didnt have time to really

BTW, this thing was HOT when I got back.

Is this cart lifted? if so the dipstick will show low when its full if you
filled it to the full mark it maybe over filled, the robin engine take 1 1/2
quarts best way to find out where the oil is full is to completely drain it
and fill it back up and mark the stick WITH the new full mark. Also the
breather hose cracks and breaks you may need to replace this piece.

That's a LOT of oil! Is your dipstick missing?

My cart is 100% stock. The only upgrade are new tires, which are not really upgrades (22x10-11).

Oil level was always pretty good. When I checked it after the "leak", it was at the end of the dipstick (not readable).

I was thinking 2 different areas - 1) Head Gasket or 2) breather.

Can someone validate why or why not either of these, or is it something else??

Hard to say in pictures. I would powerwash it clean, put the F/R in service neutral and run the cart. Get a flashlight out and look at every part on it. Looks like your crank case hose is hooked up from the pictures. If the dip stick was still in place, then you have to have a problem somewhere. Have you recently adjusted the valves? Maybe the valve cover gasket spit out the "O" ring gasket? Maybe you lost the seal under the cam belt cover?

The other thing and real expensive is you might have holed a piston take
the plugs out and do a compression check.

let me know if im wrong guys but mine was doing the same thing but not as much oil. i checked compression when it was cold and it passed. but when i checked it hot i was barely at 100. sounds like when your block gets hot your clearances are growing and letting the compression push the oil out the breather hose.

Blow by and related will occur in a worn motor, but I couldn't begin
to address this motor without washing the oil back and getting a closer look..

It's either crankcase ventilation blockage, or as you said..possibly a blown head gasket..but if it will start and maintain an idle, that's unlikely.
I'd be hoping a cover gasket or sending unit ruptured.
It could be something really simple, but I hope the heat didn't hurt the rest of it. Sounds like you caught it early..it will start, right ?

mine did the exact same thing this summer and it actually was a blown crank seal. oil was everywhere.
