tires rims
still working on this, as normal a "work in progress" . I need your advice on tires, i have made a 4 inch lift on this cart now i need to know about tires rims and offsets, i ve read the forums on tires and rims, i have stock 18-8.5-8 tires and rims. can i used the same rims with, lets say 22 - 11 - 8 tires? or do i need to think about offset rims also? thanks for any help.

Re: tires rims
22" tires on 10" rims is common for a 4" lift, yes you need offset wheels (to look right anyway)

Re: tires rims
was just at fleet farm and found that the 22 by 11 by 8 looked really wide, i dont think they would fit on my rims, i found 18.5 by 9.5 by 8 they looked a little better, now i m confused the width of these tires are wider than my stock rims so will they fit my rims or do i have to by wider rims now also,?

Re: tires rims
We don't know what you need since you built your own lift. Will the stock rims clear the spindles etc? THe stock wheel is 8 " wide.... You will need a wider rim for 11" wide treads

Re: tires rims
I think you will definitely need off-set rims. The 22-11-8 tires will go on the stock rims but they will probably rub when you turn sharp. Even if you are using 18-8.5-8, 18-9.5-8, 20-8-8, or 22-11-8 all of these tires will fit on an 8-inch rim but the off-set will determine the clearance issues. I run 20-10-10 tires on my EZGO with a mild-rise lift kit and run 22-11-10 tires with a 4" Allsports lift on my wife's CLUBCAR DS. I like the 18-9.5-8 tires and the stance and footprint but in my part of the country they are usually found in 2-ply and I personally prefer 4-ply tires. The rims on both of above carts are off-set with no rubbing issues. Hope this might help you out, and check with sponsors for both tires and rims. Good luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
