Cluches
I don't know a lot about my 01 Ezgo gas powered. How do I know if I need a new drive belt. ? when I put it in gear and start to give it the gas their seems to be a sight delay before I get moving. It's not like when I'm in my truck.and I have a lot of trouble going from forward to reverse. Its in the handle. It is very hard sometimes to get it to move one way or the other. any Idea's?

Re: Cluches
The motor starts up when you push the gas peddle so it will not be like your truck which is already running and waiting on go .... it will take a moment to start and go .

Re: Cluches
he is correct, you have to give the clutches time to start engaging. They work off centrifical force.
the belt get narrower as the age. they can also crack in between the ribs. remove it and take a good look at it. if it looks worn , replace it, they aren't that expensive. |
