Default Custom Exhaust

Hey fellas Got a question on my exhaust, Being that putting air bags on my cart I can use my factory can and was wondering if i could get a way with using a dirt bike muffler and custom bending the pipes for what I need. I will this work?

Being it's a 4 stroke it should be fine to do that.

Jakes makes a custom exhaust header for the 295.

That Jakes header is pretty sick.

Yamaha for life, Steve told me they were doing headers for the G series and the Drive, He asked me if he could take my exhaust off and get measurements for a Drive header. I have to believe, the G series would be produced first.

Wouldn't the 357 header work the same whether the engine is from a 2003 G22 or a 2008 Drive? They're both the 357 F. I can't say for sure, but the exhaust should be the same for the 301 as well.

The 301 has a 3.01 x 2.48 in. bore x stroke.
The 357 has a 3.30 x 2.48 in. bore x stroke.

Something is telling me that they just bored a 301 to get their 357. (They just bored a 285 (2.87 x 2.68 in. bore x stroke) to get their 300 (2.95 x 2.68 bore x stroke) for the G14.
However, the 301 makes 9.5 hp at 4000 RPM; the 357 makes 11.4 hp at 3500 RPM.

I hope that this exhaust runs out of the back under the bumper. The Plowmans runs back and then goes down and blows to the ground. Its ok but it makes my left side of my cart dirty when I ride in dirt.

I have no idea, didn't really get into it with them. I told them it was ok with me if they needed to take some measurements. Chassis looks similar, who knows those guys are always digging into something. They did offer an even up trade for a Honda 24HP, thought that was weird to. Based on recommendations on this forum I told them no and held out for the CPP engine upgrade. I got to tour there shop(s) very impressive, super nice people.
