Default workhorse engine value

Guys, I'm considering swaping out the motor in my 98 workhorse 1200. Assuming the motor is original but still strong, What could I sell it for? I know there are a lot of variables in this question but a ball park idea would be nice.

Thanks

Dave Powell

Is it a 295 or a 350? What are the hours and what is the compression. These are the questions you need to answer in order for us to answer your question responsibly

It should be a 350 if it's the cart in the avatar.
with the carb $400-$500 would be my guess, do you know how many hours are on it?

Hours are unknown. The guy I got it from said his mom drove it to church once a week:) I know a accurate price is impossible with such limited information, but I wasn't sure if $50.00 or $500.00 was close.

Yes, its the cart in the picture.

Thanks

Can't blame him for trying I guess. It looks like a clean, well taken care of, cart. good luck with the sale, maybe someone here needs a 350

I might be interested if you decide to get rid of it. I believe it will direct swap with a 295 in a 96 txt correct? Also if you decide to pull could you run a compression test on it before removing it so we can tell what kind of condition the motor is in.
