Default Spark Plug numbers

My cart came with BP4ES, I got a tuneup kit that came with BPR2ES, should I run the new plugs or get the same as the old ones? The old ones did look a bit on the white side, don't know which way is hotter on the numbers. 1995 Medalist 295cc
Thanks.

Be careful Ngk lower number is hotter as divot said.
If the old plug has time on it and it is white it maybe time to check the
fuel system and or clean the carb.

Thanks.
All EZGO/Robin golf cart engines were supplied with BPR5ES when new.
