Do you have voltage at the regulator with the key on/engine off?

You should have 2 wires coming from inside the engine and going to the voltage regulator/rectifier, another single wire should be coming from the cart to the voltage regulator/rectifier. This wire should have voltage with the key on.

I forgot about some of the Honda engines having the large regulator/rectifier on them, with multiple wires. I would have to look at it and see which wires are which.

You still have to have 12 volts going to it for it to work.

See this is where the problem lays and i'm not sure how the ST4x4 is done. On my cart with the factory vanguard twin, it uses a start/gen like found on a normal cart. I'm not sure what the 4X4 uses without looking it up but i'd almost guess it's the same way.

It is probably the Stator which is located under the fly wheel. My advise is to install the optional High output alternator kit.
