Default More Power Out Of My 1987 EZGO Marathon

I have a 1987 2 cycle ezgo. I put a 5 inch lift and 22 inch tires on it and was wondering what I could do to get some more power out of it??

Not that i'm ignoring your thread but there's not to much you can do to the old 2 strokes carts to get more power out of the engine. bore it out as much as possible, maybe some porting.
on the clutch, maybe try the shortes belt you can get on it or a new belt. again the 2 strokes don't lend themselves to modding very well. my advice would be sell it and get yourself a 4 stroke cart.

Thanks for the input I didnt want to bore it out because it lessons the life of the motor.

Do you want power or speed ? My 1988 runes 19-21 MPH and will pull a 14 ft. camper that I am converting to a concession trailer.Front end is flotting but still moves it around yard and shop.Stock tires and no lift. Rebuilt motor 2 years ago top and bottom. Good luck.

I was digging around in my buddys shop yesterday and found a stiffer spring for the clutch and it mad a world of difference.
