87 EZGO 2 cycle dies when hot

i have a 87 EZGO 2 cycle, i have installed a new coil, spark plug & wire, new HO carb, new HO muffler, took it to the dealer had it tuned, starts & runs great. i have been driving it around the yard, no problem. I took it to the country, ran around the pasture, after about 20 minutes it died, & will not start until it sits a while. if cool it runs fine, if you only wait about 10 minutes it will start & barely run. looking for suggestions.

check for spark when it dies..... clean fan and fins for better cooling.... maybe not enough oil in the fuel, are you pre mixing or depending on the oil pump? a compression test would be helpful in trying to figure it out.

I have seen this problem before with a faulty vent cap on the fuel tank. You can know for sure if you run the cart next time until it gets hot and dies. Then open the gas tank and allow it to vent. If it starts right up again, then purchase a new cap. Otherwise, well keep trying.

i am using the factory oil tank. is it better to mix with the gas, & if so, what ratio.

When I was running my 2 stroke ezgo I mixed my own (oil tank was removed):mix 1 ounce oil to each gallon of gas.

sorry to be so long with a reply. thanks for all of the help. mixing the oil in the gas seems to have solved the problem. i had to wait until i took it back to the country to test it again. we ran it all over 30 acres for about an hour with no problems at all. the wife is really enjoying it .
