Runs great in reverse!!!!

Hi Everyone! Finally finished rebuild on the pink panther! Took it for a test drive, all was well, then just quit. Wouldn't even turn over. Put it in reverse, runs like a champ!! I thought maybe a crank seal, but they seem fine. Where should I look next??????

Sounds like the forward reverse switch. What year?

check the wires from the switch 1st. i had that problem.

Assuming a 2-stroke from your avatar... Does it continue to crank in forward and just not fire?

This cart is a '79 marathon, with internal starter/generator. After the rebuild, first time I started it, It was in forward. Ran great, started right up. I drov it real easy, letting everything get seated and warmed up, then headed up the road with it. Thats when it quit. tried to restart in forward, Tried to turn over, but wouldn't. Put it into reverse, and it cranked fine and runs great. Checked all wire connections, all good and tight. If you check out previous postings, you can see all pics.
