Need advice on TXT upgrades
Hi guys, I love this forum. No question goes unanswered. I need your help with som equipment advice. I have a 98 gas TXT with the 295 mci. I have no clue about the quality, or preference of lift kits and tires. I would love to have the long travel but dont know if its worth the money!! I also need advice on which tires and sizes that complement the appropriate lifts. I'm looking for all kinds of advice and preferences. Pro's, con's, or whatever. I want 4 to 6 inches of lift and tires to match. I want what is the best for the money and performance. I believe in asthetics and the fact that you get what you pay for but if it aint functional or useful it aint worth a da##. So the upgrades of my txt are in the hands of the great minds at BGW. I appreciate the input and the equipment will be purchased by the replies I get. As I install I will post some before and after pics. THANKS ALOT!!!!

Re: Need advice on TXT upgrades
Long travel is the way to go! Far superior ride and handling. I have the Stretch long travel front from Carts Unlimited and I love it, it is wider than Jakes long travel so, keep that in mind.
I have never heard anyone regret buying a long travel. Wheels and tires? I dont really have that much for ya. Good luck |

Re: Need advice on TXT upgrades
Ess, I know this kit will widen the stance on the front tires, what to do to get the rear to match? Spacers? If so what do they usually run (ballpark)?
Also, is it all bolt in or is there mods that need to be made? How do you compensate for the lift at the rear? Thanks |

I dont think the Jakes lift is as wide as the Stretch. I believe they are all 100% bolt on. The Stretch was easy once I decided to follow the directions |

Re: Need advice on TXT upgrades
I'll hit scottyb up n see whats up on the lift and spacers for the rear. So you just swapped the axle from top to bottom of the leaf springs and got your a** end back up. What inch lift are you using and what brand?

The independant front is great, but with the leafs in the back I take it in the azz. Scottyb did a 3 link rear suspension on his that is really nice. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...workhorse.html If you have the ability, this would be a worth endevor |
