Default It just Clicks

Hey all, great forum here! I have a 97 Gas EZ-Go that up until today has been the most reliable cart in the world. But, today when my boy tried to take it out all it did was click when he stepped on the gas. Battery is fully charged,I know gas isn't an issue, all wires seem to be "solid" and not corroded. Any hints??

Got'a be a bad connection, some times wiggling the key or wiggling the battery cables works, could be the switch under peddle too.

i agree with stove bolt. more than likely, it is your battery cables being corroded. take them off, clean the heck out of them with a wire brush (or the battery terminal tool, if you have one), put them back on and spray on some terminal protector.

if you want to do it right the first time, take your terminal connectors off the wire and give those a scrubbin, too. mine were corroded between the wire and the connector, and the battery was not charging for a darn. i had cleaned just the posts and inside of the connectors, but after spraying with the red stuff (protector), it started sizzling in a spot and arcing. so, took everything apart, cleaned them all up, put back together and sprayed with terminal protector again, and works perfectly. believe it or not, this was even affecting the way my cart started (aside from the slower cranking).
