Default 2005 TXT "stumbles" on acceleration

I've got a new to me 2005 TXT. EVERY time I accelerate it stumbles/ hesitates. It runs fine after the episode. Doesn't matter if it's the first time of the day or after being run for awhile.

What are some things to check/ change?

Thanks

On the carb there is an air/fuel mixture screw, slowly screw it in until it seats then back out 1 1/2 turns, try it.
If it still stumbles, open it a 1/4 turn more each time and try it.
If it doesn't correct itself by 3 turns out you need to pull the carb and give it a good cleaning paying close attention to the low speed jets.

I have an '09 ST Sport that does the same thing.
Has done it since I took delivery of the thing brand new.

I figured it was because of carb jetting.
They have these engines "choked" down for emission purposes.

You figure it out I'd sure like to know the solution.
