Rear driver side wheel squeek
I have a 98 TXT. Just bought used. Rear wheel has noticable squeek at low speeds and seems to fade at higher speeds. It appears as if noise is coming from wheel, and not rear end. Wheel bearing perhaps? Suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks |

Re: Rear driver side wheel squeek
Probably a brake hub... Check to see if the axle nut is properly torqued,

Re: Rear driver side wheel squeek
Check the lug nut, they more than likely need to be tightened. The rim is loose on the hub. Just a thought.

Torque axle nut to 90-100 ft lbs.

Re: Rear driver side wheel squeek
Why you have it apart, check your brakes, and don't just do the one side check both of them.

Re: Rear driver side wheel squeek
Thanks to all of you for your responses. um, what am I looking for with the hubs off? I am assuming to see if there is adequate liner left on the brake shoe?
