Default i need help with my fly (wheel)

could someone answer this one ;
on my robins 2 stroke that has the internal starter/ generator
on the inside off the flywheel there is a nice shiny
cam that attaches to the outside of the armature(not sure what it is called).
all i no is that the points run at .015 around it , BUT is it suppose to
be perfectly round ?
mine is not it has 2 slightly flat spots on each side of a rise,
i would say about 75% is round.
it doesnt get any wear on it because the points dont even touch it.

any help her would be GREATLY APPRECIATED !!

THANKS, DEW

Its not being stupid, it is just us guys and our mentality of not thinking we need directions! LOL!

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, I had to figure that out the hard way (many test runs and a lot of mis-fires lol)
