newbie tryin to learn the ropes
sorry i may have jumped ahead of myself posting problems already I work on diesel trucks for a living...
So having said that not being able to figure out a direction to go with this thing is irritating to say the least I had been searching google for any tips and this site popped up thought it was full of good information so here i am thanks I can get this thing running sometimes think i need to go search for another project pullin my hair out |

Same here two months ago, good people on this site. First what is the compression? If below 125, pull it out and check rings and the top end. My head bolts were loose. It only takes about one hour to pull the motor the first time. While you have it tore down, put in the crank seals, only about $3.00 each. I put in rings while I had it down. The spark could be weak. I had a HEI mod. from an old suburban and a coil from an old car and did the HEI conversion (no cost to me but about $35.00 if you have to buy parts). My cart now cranks and runs great.

yeah thanks for the tips sorry new to this whole thing but im learning...I'll be sure to put a better gauge on
thanks for the spark tip.. where would I get the parts to do a conversion not too sure where to go to find parts for this thing |

Do a thread search on the HEI conversion.. There are alot of recent posts on where to get parts and conversion diagrams..
