Not a very big motor for a cart. Needs more like a 300cc.

I guess if you have the atv already than just use that, your biggest problem will be getting the atv rear axle on the cart, also i "think" you have to mount the engine and the axle on the subframe or else the chain wont work right.Keep everybody posted on the project!

Is it an automatic or a semi auto? I have a 84 Honda 200s 3 wheeler...there is no clutch but you still have to kick the gears up and down. Shouldnt be hard. I have seen some carts up here with modified car shifters (like a B&M Megashifter) setup to shift the gears if you had to.

I would say the motor has enough to push the cart. I've used the 200s to tow stuff around the yard....other 3 & 4 wheelers and for speed it tops out around 45 - 50 mph in 5th gear.

I had an ATC250SX which ,like yours ,is an automatic. There was a guy on You Tube that had an EZ-GO with a GSXR 1000 motor in it. I would like to have seen that install. But I may have to agree with scottyb because your power to weight ratio is going to change a lot.But good luck either way.
