New to EZGO Gas Carts, Can't get ID on Cart.

Good Morning All,

I am really sorry ifthe Informatrion is staring me in the face, But I used the Search Button and couldn't find the information I was looking for ...

I am working on a EZGO Gas Cart ... I went to a few other sites and none could ID the car By Serial or Model..

Here is my Serial: 343316 Model: 84M14

Can someone please shed some light for me? I believe it is a Marathon ... Don't know if it's 2 Stroke or 4 Stroke..

I know it needs a tune-up .. It has been sitting for 6 Months ..

It has a Problem with Driving forward.. It will Rev Up and slowly move forward till it gets to a decent speed .. Climbing is out of the question.. it dogs bad.. BUT Reverse is Crazy Fast and engages almost ASAP..

I tried that site and it tells me it doesn't match anything on Known Record .. But I will call them.. maybe they got something interesting for me

Can't See the picture... ( Darn Gov't Computers .. LOL ) .. I am having my wife send it to me in a email and I will post back up what it looks like ..

Got off the phone wioth EZGO .. and she has no Clue, except its a 84 Marathon ( She thinks )

The Cart is at the Ranch where I keep my Horse's... I will be there tonight, so If I can't find one it looks like I will upload Motor and Cart pics tomorrow..

Ok, It looks like Marathon 1975 - 1993 ...

I believe the Motor only has 1 Spark Plug and a Cylinder Style Air Filter

Manufactures Code--check this again it don't look right




All modern (76-present) E-Z-GO cars have their Serial Number & Manufactures Code in or under the passenger side dash board looking toward the center of the car.
The specific order of the numbers changes over the years but the Code always has a letter and the last two (2) digits of the year it was made incorporated in the overall series of numbers. The actual Serial Number is either 6 or 7 numbers (only) and it does not indicate the model year.

That was the Actual code .. on top of that, The Motor is a Single Cylinder Robin 244cc Motor ...

The guy the OG bought it said that he bought it from a guy that post's on here.. Said it was " Modified " .. This thing is absolutely gutless.. I got pics, i will post here in a minute
