When i go to start it the cart starts to move before its starts. Moving on the starter rpms. Never did this before. Both forward and reverse. Seems that the belt got shorter??

Ok what cart we talking about

the belt should be at the top the biggest part of the clutch on the rear of the cart and the belt should be at the bottom the smallest part of the clutch on the motor one of the clutches might be sticking

I would agree with ez go go, sounds like one of the clutchs is not opening up when the engine shuts off. I am almost thinking is the drive side clutch(engine clutch). I had the same problem last summer and it was the drive clutch that was sticking partially closed. If you tap the clutch lightly with a rubber mallat it might release. As far as fixing it, your options are limited, there are not much for parts anymore for these clutch so either buying a new one or modifying what you have to get it to work are your only options.

I was able to modify the pieces on mice that were worn to make it work again.
