97 ezgo ignitor trouble
can you bypass the ignitor on a 97 295cc ezgo with a chevy HEI module??
Also ran across a 96 ezgo 295 with to much oil in it.... will that cause no spark |

Re: 97 ezgo ignitor trouble
I'm in the process of doing that right now.
I've got some carb issues still plaguing me; so I've been hesitant to shout "success" from the rooftops until I get all the bugs out. I'm running a GM 4 wire HEI module with an ignition coil from a 3100 GM engine. (very common coil)like this Connecting the primary terminals on the coil is a bit tricky since they're on the bottom of the coil, close proximity to the mounting/grounding hole, and narrow terminal width. I was just using what was available for free. For some reason, it likes the pickup coil (trigger) leads reversed. The EZGO coil has considerably more primary resistance than an auto coil, so YMMV with the stock coil. |
