Default tips for 2 smoker rebuild

Ok gurus, anything special i should know about rebuilding the top end of my 2 stroke 3pg. ill post pics in a bit, just looking for "do's and donts". i have a new jug, piston and all the "goodies" associated with a top end rebuild coming monday (tuesday?) along with new crank seals. any hints will be greatly appreciated.....thanks in advance...Shag...

DO note the position of the head bolts and replace in the same position. 3 are used to bolt the engine to the frame.

DO NOT
replace the piston in the wrong direction. The port in the skirt faces away from the exhaust.

check the sticky at the top of this forum. it has the factory pages for what you doing. only change i did was to put the piston in the cylinder before inserting the wrist pin-just a matter of preference. also had a hell of a time pulling the seals so just took the case apart. not hard, just need some case sealant.

hey, ups loves me, got parts today (not monday or tues.) notice i posted only one ring, dunno what happened to the other onei dont even want to talk about the jug! and, shouldnt the ring seats be complete circles around the piston? thanks for the tips guys.....Shag...
