Default 82 ezgo and snowmobile motor

I have a 82 ezgo 2stroke, the engine cradle is broke on it and I been thinking of putting a snowmobile motor in the cart but was wondering what cradle would I use to mount a snowmobile motor to the ezgo frame.

How bad is it broken? A sled engine requires some modding
of the cradle any way, so perhaps you can fix and mod
at the same time.

Does the rear end have reverse?

The rear doesn't have reverse, so I would have to buy a rearend with reverse. the cradle broke at the rubber mounts on the back left and right side. the cradle is more or less free floating now and at high rpms the clutch is binding. The right rear cradle mount broke off so the only way to fix the cradle now would be to weld the mount into a box so I can use the rubber mount inbetween the frame and cradle.

I'm having a hard time tracking down a 82 2stroke cradle. Is there another year cradle I could put in the cart that will bolt up to the motor. I found a 4 stroke cradle in the for sale thread here but wasn't sure if it would bolt up to the 2 stroke motor. The motor on the cart has been rebuilt and runs great, it's just 28 yrs old and starting to slowly fall apart on me, from the previous owner storing it outside for many yrs.

May be that frame is not a candidate for a
powerful engine?

The frame is good and strong just the cradle is gone. I've gone over everything on the cart and only thing that keeps giving me problems is the cradle. I guess if I could keep my sister and her boyfriend off it, then it would last. They think because it's lifted they can jump it like a quad.

Do you still have the motor? Is it running? Can you show a pic of the crack?
