Default 87 EZ go resistor question

I just got my cart back from being worked on and after it ran awhile, two new cables caught on fire when I plugged in the charger. I assume it is wired wrong, but my neighbor said that can happen if the wires weren't secured tightly. The resistor is new too. Both cables were connected to the resistor.

It looks like you inadvertantly posted to the wrong section, we are all gasheads here. You will have better luck in the EZGO Electric section

best regards
