Compression on 05 Workhorse
I have a 2005 workhorse with a 350 engine. What should the compression be on each cylinder? The engine seems to have alot of crankcase pressure. If I pull the tube off the crankcase breather it blows alot of air and oil. Does this mean I have a broken ring or is this normal? The fan side of the crankcase gasket leaks a little oil if I hold my finger on the tube from the breather it leaks alot of oil, is this hard to replace?

Re: Compression on 05 Workhorse
Excessive crankcase pressure can be a sigh of worn rings..... compression should be 165# to about 125#s .... with the valves properly adjusted to .004 cold.
