Re: Synthetic Oil
I used 10w 30 Castor oil Synthetic in mine. I changed out the engine oil and the rear end oil, at the same time.
I am very happy with it. Seems to stay clean and clear longer, than the standard oil. 1 1/2 quarts is correct. |

Re: Synthetic Oil
Without getting you into a battle royale over oil, What do you use for the rear end oil ? I how much does that take ? I was thinking Mobil one.
Thank you ! |

Re: Synthetic Oil
I use Moblie 1 in mine and it's been fine even at the higher RPM and heat that I run it. I did add a pretty decent cooler to it so that inscresd the capcity to 2 quarts.

How did you add a cooler? I wouldnt mind adding one to mine to help out the new motor since it gets ran for a couple miles at a time and goes thru a fair amount of slow speed high rpm driving up hills and down trails in the woods. |

Re: Synthetic Oil
Here's a couple more of my install I mounted the cooler to the under side of the pasenger floor board (the part that angles up) Pulled the rubber back and hid the bolts under it. I did have to drill a couple holes in the frame so the hose could pass through and hang down looking hookey. |

Re: Synthetic Oil
Alright read thru stretch plastics instructions and that is pretty straight forward it seems. One question what do you do with the oil sending unit after you remove it? There is no mention of what they did with it in there instructions. On a side note does the sending unit really do anything on these motors?
